Check your spine!

Surface Electromyography (sEMG) is a device or tool used by healthcare practitioners that measures electrical activity that is released by your muscles when they are contracting. This is commonly known as "muscle tension" and measuring this activity can help detect imbalances or dysfunction within the spine and the soft tissues that the spine is associated with.

A surface EMG (sEMG) is similar to an "ECG/EKG" (Electrocardiogram) for the heart.

The benefits of this test are that it is painless and quick, taking approximately 3 - 5 minutes to complete. And most importantly, it helps us determine what further evaluations or tests may or may not be necessary! This technology can help influence the direction of your treatment and provide objective measurements when it comes to your progress or clinical results.

Surface Electromyography unit (sEMG) is another state-of-the-art technology which helps detect spinal misalignments. This instrument measures muscle tension and activity around the spine, much the same way an EKG measures heart muscle activity. When the spine is out of alignment, surrounding muscles are forced to “brace” and tense up in an attempt to help support the area around the misalignments. Electrodes are placed on the surface of the skin overlying the spinal muscles, and these electrodes measure the amount of electricity the muscles produce and can help the doctor diagnose problem areas.

We uses thermography and electromyography to detect nervous system interference and spinal muscle asymmetry and spasm. It is a tool used to detect the presence of spinal nerve interference. It can detect health concerns before you feel them. Inflamation is the first response from your body there is an injury.
